Overseas visitors - Please be aware that although we look tiny on the map, New Zealand is approximately 1000 miles/1600 kilometres in length and 280 miles/450 kilometres wide at the widest point.

Much of the country is hilly and mountainous and motorway/expressway systems are mostly restricted to the main centres. This can slow travel times down. Unless you are flying and driving, adequate travel time should be allowed.

If you are looking to enjoy the whole country by road, we recommend at least 30 days.

Ski charters and packages
The Fiat can take up to 8 pairs of skis on the rear racks and has chains. The fridges are able to heat as well as chill.
